I would suggest looking into EZdrummer, the sounds are good, and it comes with a bunch of preprogrammed MIDI sequences you can drop and drop into your DAW. SD has its own built in processing that you can use if you'd like, but I prefer the control I have when I bus everything out.

The nice thing about using software like Superior Drummer, is that once you have your drums sequenced, you can bus out the individual drum pieces (Kick, Snare, etc) to their own Aux channels, and process them separately. Then you sequence the MIDI data in your DAW, either by playing the parts on your keyboard, or clicking them in with your mouse (or any combination of both, I'll tap stuff out on the keyboard and then quantize/move/edit accordingly). My favorite is Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0, along with the NY Drums addons.īasically, you'll need a MIDI interface for your computer, and plug the MIDI out from your Juno into the the MIDI in of the interface. If you're using a DAW then I agree you should explore a software based drum plugin.
